Resume of Professor WANG Huoyan

WANG Huoyan, PhD, graduated respectively from Central China Normal University, Wuhan University, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore and Huazhong University of Science and Technology; he used to be director of College English Teaching Department of Wuhan University and vice dean of the School of Foreign Languages and Literature of Wuhan University; and he is now a professor and doctoral supervisor in the School of Foreign Languages and Literature of Wuhan University, a member of College Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education of PRC, a member of the National CET-4 and CET-6 Examination Committee, the Vice chairman of Hubei College Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee, host of 5 foreign language teaching reform projects at national level; he has published more than 10 academic journal papers and one academic book on English language teaching and cross-cultural communication, and presided over the compilation of more than 10 sets of English textbooks; he led the teaching and research team to win the first prize of excellent teaching achievement in Hubei Province, guided the young teachers of Wuhan University to participate in the national English teaching competition and win the champion, instructed the undergraduate students of Wuhan University to participate in the national English speech and debate competition and win the national champion twice.
